Les services de la Protection civile ont enregistré 25 cas de mort par noyade dont 22 au niveau des plages, et ce, durant la période allant du 25 au 31 août.
Le chargé de Communication à la Direction générale de la Protection civile (DGPC), le Lieutenant Youcef Abdat, a indiqué dans une déclaration à l’APS, que les services de la Protection civile avaient enregistré, durant la période allant du 25 au 31 août, 25 cas de mort par noyade, relevant qu’il s’agissait de 22 cas enregistrés au niveau des plages et 3 cas au niveau des retenues d’eau.
Selon ce nouveau bilan, le nombre des personnes mortes par noyade depuis le premier juin passé s’élève à 268 cas, dont 199 cas au niveau des plages et 69 cas au niveau des retenues d’eau.
Le même responsable a ajouté que le nombre d’interventions de la Protection civile au niveau des plages depuis le début de la saison estivale s’élevait à 68.365 interventions durant lesquelles 45.100 personnes avaient été sauvées d’une mort certaine.
