Samedi après-midi, plusieurs milliers de personnes se sont rassemblées à Paris pour dénoncer le « gouvernement Macron-Barnier », à l’appel de La France Insoumise (LFI), d’écologistes et d’associations féministes, étudiantes et environnementales.
Selon LFI, environ soixante rassemblements étaient prévus à travers la France, alors que Michel Barnier, nommé Premier ministre par Emmanuel Macron, finalise un gouvernement apparemment très orienté à droite, plus de deux mois après des élections législatives où la coalition de gauche n’a pas obtenu de majorité absolue.
En plus de LFI, dirigée par Mathilde Panot qui a défilé à Paris, les organisations à l’origine de cet appel incluent des syndicats étudiants comme l’Union étudiante et l’Union syndicale et lycéenne, ainsi que des ONG écologistes comme Greenpeace, des groupes féministes tels que le Planning familial et le Collectif droits des femmes, et l’association altermondialiste Attac.
Le cortège était majoritairement décoré des drapeaux des différentes formations politiques. LFI vise à « accroître la pression populaire » après une première journée de protestation le 7 septembre, qui avait rassemblé entre 110 000 manifestants selon les autorités et 300 000 selon les organisateurs.
À Paris, les prévisions pour ce rassemblement variaient entre 20 000 et 40 000 participants selon la police, tandis que la manifestation du 7 septembre avait attiré entre 26 000 selon le ministère de l’Intérieur et 160 000 selon LFI.
