-La contestation populaire se poursuit et ne faiblit pas. Après les étudiants qui ont manifesté en masse hier dans plusieurs villes du pays, les travailleurs devraient battre le pavé ce mercredi 1er mai, à l’occasion de la fête internationale du travail.
L’exigence d’une transition démocratique réelle devrait être au cœur des slogans des travailleurs. Un mois après la démission de Bouteflika, aucune des revendications populaires n’a été satisfaite.
-Des centaines de travailleurs syndicalistes sont rassemblés devant le siège national de l’UGTA pour réclamer le départ de Abdelmadjid Sidi Said et du système.
-Alger, place du 1er mai, des travailleurs et syndicalistes sont rassemblés pour réclamer le départ du système, les poursuites contre les corrompus, le départ de Sidi Said et une véritable transition. Les policiers antiémeute, fortement déployés, forment un cordon, pour empêcher les manifestants de marcher sur rue Hassiba en direction du boulevard Amirouche.
– Lors de la manifestation contre le système au niveau de la place du 1er Mai à Alger, les protestataires scandaient « Pouvoir assassin » après un jet de gaz lacrymogènes de la part des forces de l’ordre
-Alger : le rassemblement des travailleurs à la place du 1er mai s’est dispersé dans le calme. La police a empêché les manifestants de marcher, en utilisant des sprays de gaz lacrymogène. Devant la Grande Poste, la manifestation se poursuit.
– Gaid Salah : « L’Armée Nationale Populaire, avec les vaillants enfants du peuple algérien, œuvre en permanence à faire éviter à notre pays de tomber dans le piège de la violence et les tragédies qui pourraient en résulter ».
– Gaid Salah appelle au dialogue avec les institutions de l’Etat : « Je demeure entièrement convaincu qu’adopter le dialogue constructif avec les institutions de l’Etat est l’unique moyen pour sortir de la crise ».
